Robert Moss

Robert Moss is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Mahler Company, Inc., an international consulting firm that designs and conducts advanced management training programs for executives throughout the world.  The Company also consults to clients on issues relating to the implementation of their strategy and the effectiveness of their organizations. 

Prior to joining Mahler, he held senior staff and operating positions with Leaseway Transportation Corp. for twenty-two years.  During that time period, Leaseway grew from a small collection of trucking and leasing businesses into one of the world’s largest physical distribution companies, employing over 16,000 people with revenues of 1.5 billion dollars.  His staff responsibilities included law, government relations, external affairs and labor relations.  His operating responsibilities included Chief Operating Officer and Director of several Leaseway subsidiaries, Division Vice President and Group Vice President.

While at Leaseway, he served on and chaired numerous industry boards and committees.  He also served, at the request of the Governor of Ohio, on the State’s Energy Advisory Council, whose role was to advise on and develop energy policy.

Mr. Moss has served as an advisor and board member of both public and private for-profit companies, as well as non-profit organizations.

Mr. Moss has been active in social service organizations most of his professional career.  He served on the Board of Second Harvest, the national foodbank network which distributes over 180 million pounds of food annually to the needy.  He currently is Vice President and Trustee of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of New York City and is a volunteer in the New York City schools as a mentor to a seventh grade class.  He also is co-founder of the New York Volunteer for Youth Campaign and serves as Vice President and Trustee of the Helena Rubinstein Foundation, a philanthropic organization.

Mr. Moss received a degree in Business Administration from Ohio State University and a law degree from Case Western Reserve University.  He and his wife, Diane, have five children and live in New York City and Key Biscayne, FL.
