Paul Brennan draws on his Global Industry experience, as well as his expertise for his work with the Mahler Company. Paul’s work in finance, manufacturing and logistics as well as 10 years overseas executive assignments adds insights and humor to his teaching. Participants speak appreciatively of Paul’s high energy, analytical skills, insights and coaching ability.
In addition to his teaching, Paul consults in the areas of performance improvement, career management, change management, and retirement. Clients have included IBM, The Catholic Church, Precision CastParts and Sharp Corporation.
Paul was a charter member of the management team at Tektronix which founded and grew the Color Printer Business (now part of Xerox) to $650M in 12 years.
Having worked and lived overseas extensively, his past positions include Director of Operations for Tektronix Europe; Vice President Finance, Grass Valley Group; Controller, Tektronix Australia; and Managing Director, Tektronix Mexico. He received a CFO Magazine nomination for the prestigious Reach Award for his work in consolidating 13 countries’ logistics, finance, administration and IT functions. He also worked in Japan for a year with the U.S. military.
Paul holds a BS degree from the University of Akron and an MBA from Oregon State University. He is an avid bicyclist who annually participates in Cycle Oregon, a 500 mile week long ride across the state.
He volunteers at New Avenues for Youth helping street youth develop career strategies, at Lifeworks Northwest, a mental health and addictions agency and was on the Board of Profile Theatre Project.
Paul is on the faculty of Maryhurst University and Portland State University.
